Lead Inspector
The Lead Inspector will ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials go through the proper levels of inspection, according to both AAR and ISO 9000 standards. Essential duties and responsibilities include leading outgoing and/or incoming inspection, processing incoming and outgoing material, enforcing quality control requirements per the ISO 9000 and customer requirements manual, administering effective training and on the job training of quality control inspectors, assisting the quality management team in reviewing and updating department standards, interfacing with different departments in ACSW, day-to-day departmental supervision, leading and coordinating daily inspection activities across the shop, ensuring adherence to AS9100, FAA, EASA, and company-specific quality standards, providing technical guidance on inspection procedures, documentation, and root cause analysis, fostering a safety- and quality-focused culture across inspection teams, reviewing ship/rec findings upon receipt or shipment, supporting the internal audit program, being a part of root cause investigations, ensuring timely disposition and follow-up on rework or scrap items, analyzing inspection results and trends to recommend process improvements and defect reduction, reviewing and approving inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and quality logs, maintaining a calibrated tooling and consumables list for the department, reporting quality matrix to management, participating in first article inspections and new product introduction evaluations, and purchasing order requests.

Qualifications to perform this job successfully include FAA repairman certification, an associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and moving about the facility, and the ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
