* You will be the Quality Engineer Staff for the Quality Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product and process quality across design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
** What You Will Be Doing*
* As the Quality Engineer Staff you will be responsible for applying quality principles to make and buy products, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Apply quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and product evaluation.
+ Conduct technical evaluations of specifications, drawings, and procedures, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
+ Lead product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective‑preventive actions.
+ Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity.
+ Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, performing statistical analysis to ensure compliance.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
** Basic Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.)
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
+ Experience performing root‑cause analysis, documenting quality deficiencies, and implementing effective corrective actions on engineering/mechanical systems
+ Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply engineering and mechanical drawings, including GD&T, to verify product compliance
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) demonstrated through creation of technical reports, data analysis worksheets, or presentation decks
** Desired Skills*
* + Experience managing the control and disposition of non‑conforming material (e.g., participation in Material Review Boards)
+ Prior experience working directly with Government customers or on government‑contracted projects
+ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or proven application of Lean/Six‑Sigma methodologies to improve processes
