Property​/Vehicle Impoundment Supervisor

The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of the vehicle impound yard. This is accomplished by conducting the monthly auction; taking inventory of vehicles; and completing administrative duties. Other duties include providing customer service and supervising employees.

• Conducts monthly auction by running registrations to verify ownership; marking vehicles up for auction; cleaning vehicles; sending vehicle list to auctioneer; preparing a buyer’s list; and preparing a list for the wrecker service to move.
• Takes inventory of vehicles by verifying impound cards and invoices; and logging vehicles in the computer.
• Completes administrative duties by overseeing wrecker and auction contracts; entering data into the computer; making modifications as needed; picking up supplies; running daily cash flow reports; and compiling released vehicle, auction, and wrecker invoices reports.
• Provides customer service by responding to inquiries by phone and in person; providing information to other departments; and releasing vehicles.
• Supervises employees by scheduling work duties; and conducting performance evaluations.
• All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
• Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality for the assigned work hours is essential.

Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience.
• Licenses: Valid Driver's License required
