Duties and Responsibilities Front‑End Leadership & Support

  • Assist the Service Operations Manager with daily job duties and responsibilities.
  • Champion corporate and division customer service programs to achieve or exceed customer service goals.
  • Help direct and supervise all front‑end operations, including:
    Monitoring and managing customer traffic flow Ensuring adequate lane coverage Maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the front end, restrooms, entryway, and parking lot
  • Ensure check stand merchandisers are fresh, full, and well‑maintained, including proper signage and cleanliness.
Compliance & Policy Adherence
  • Comply with and ensure team compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including:
    Cash handling Employee purchase rules Restricted product sales (alcohol/tobacco) Coupon and gift card policies Scan accuracy Supervising minor employees Product return procedures WIC requirements Sanitation, safety, and security standards Grooming and dress code standards Check acceptance procedures
  • Report any policy violations to store management promptly.
Point of Sale (POS) & Cash Management
  • Ensure accurate operation and functionality of the Point of Sale system.
  • Assist with all aspects of cash flow accountability, including:
    Safe transactions, issues, pickups, and tills Check acceptance and refunds Monitoring cashier funds‑handling procedures
  • Partner with the Scan/FMC Team to address scanning file issues quickly.
  • Perform additional front‑end financial duties as needed, such as:
    Running totals for all tills Preparing and verifying daily deposit slips Completing required front‑end documentation Reporting issues to the Service Operations Manager.
Customer Service & Communication
  • Serve as a cashier when needed to support business needs.
  • Understand all functions of the customer service center and provide services to customers as required.
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Deliver all job duties with honesty, integrity, and in compliance with Company standards.
Other Responsibilities
  • Perform other necessary and required duties as assigned.
