Salary Range: $18.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Responsible for assisting crew with tasks as required to perform underground service installation and repair projects, including material loading and unloading, equipment loading and unloading, hand digging, gathering and assembling material required to complete tasks at multiple locations, installing conduits and cables, and other tasks as required. Responsibilities also include working on lines and equipment up to 600 volts unsupervised. Position is 5 day work week, 40-50 hours and on call as needed.

Travel may also be required. May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays. May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.

• 1-2 year minimum underground electric distribution service work experience.
• Qualified to work on energized and de-energized lines and equipment up to 600 volts.
• Must be able to meet all UG Service Skilled Labor B Requirements; if not certified, will be required to attend certification courses.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluently read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to follow all safe work practices.
• Computer literate.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver License in good standing.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional formal or occupational education focused on electrical services and construction.
• State wide travel preferable.
• Valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.

• Minimum 8 hours per day with unpredictable hours including weekends and holidays.
• Standing and walking for extensive periods on various uneven surfaces.
• Perform activities including stoop, crawl, forward bend, squat and bend at the knees and waist, grasping and reaching.
• Work in narrow and confined areas.
• Lift tools, equipment and material up to and including 50 pounds using upper body force.
• Work outdoors in all-weather conditions.
