Overview
We are a leading organization seeking a skilled and versatile Industrial Electrician / Electronic Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will rely on your experience and judgment to inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical and electronic systems. This position offers a high degree of creative latitude, requiring a proactive professional who can perform technical tasks independently while also directing and leading the work of others.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance & Repair: Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial machinery, electronic equipment, computer‑controlled systems, and circuits.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment, software, blueprints, and schematics to isolate electrical or mechanical issues.
- Installation: Plan layouts and install electrical fixtures, control devices, wiring, meters, and complex electronic systems to specifications.
- Programming & Automation: Create, edit, and troubleshoot PLC programs and interface with computer‑aided design/drafting software.
- Calibration: Calibrate and adjust testing instruments, regulators, and installed components to ensure precise operational specifications.
- Preventive Care: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, check for defects such as frayed wires, and log equipment performance and repairs.
- Leadership &
Collaboration:
Direct and lead the work of others, coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams, and consult with supervisors. - Safety & Compliance: Conduct safety inspections in manufacturing settings and sign off on overhaul documents for repaired equipment.
- Inventory & Documentation: Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and review work orders, technical manuals, and design specifications.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years in industrial electrical maintenance or a related field. - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Technical Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems ($24 ext{v}-480 ext{v} AC, single and 3‑phase power, DC voltage), motor controls, and electronics (circuit boards, processors, chips). - Skills:
Mechanical ability, proficiency in PLC programming, and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. - Tools:
Must possess own hand tools and a cell phone with text messaging capabilities. - Physical &
Certifications:
Ability to do precise, detailed work independently or as part of a team; must be able to obtain forklift certification.
- Salary: $62,400 - $83,200 per year
