The company has grown from small tenant finish and retrofit projects to complex work on large warehouses, multi-floor office spaces, churches of all sizes, and diverse retail facilities. Fire Power Systems is the specified sprinkler contractor for several major buildings in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including two 40-story properties where they have performed inspections, repairs, and tenant finish work for over 30 plus years.
Since launching its alarm division in 2018, the company now monitors hundreds of systems and provides inspections, testing, and repairs for fire sprinklers, fire alarms, underground piping, fire extinguishers and backflow prev enters. With multiple full-time RME's and over 300 years of leadership experience, Fire Power Systems emphasizes ongoing education and a work culture built on honesty, integrity, and doing what is right.
The Alarm Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Grand Prairie, TX. This role is responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, conducting site visits as needed, and preparing accurate estimates for fire alarm systems, including materials, labor, and related costs. The Alarm Estimator collaborates closely with the alarm division, design and engineering teams, and project managers to develop proposals, clarify project requirements, and support bid submissions.
Day-to-day activities include analyzing codes and standards, evaluating vendor quotes, updating estimate templates, and maintaining detailed records of bids and awarded projects. The individual in this role will also communicate professionally with clients, respond to questions about estimates, and help ensure that projects are designed to meet both regulatory requirements and company quality standards.
- Candidates should possess strong estimating and analytical skills, including experience reviewing construction documents, interpreting fire alarm system requirements, and preparing detailed cost estimates.
- Candidates should possess technical skills related to fire alarm systems, such as basic knowledge of NFPA codes, local fire and building regulations, system components, and integration with fire sprinkler and monitoring systems.
- Candidates should possess project coordination and communication skills, including the ability to work with designers, engineers, project managers, and clients to clarify scope, resolve questions, and support timely bid submissions.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with relevant software tools, such as estimating or bidding software, spreadsheets, and general office applications used for documentation and reporting.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Relevant experience in fire protection, alarm systems, or construction estimating is highly beneficial; familiarity with commercial and industrial projects is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
