Position: embedded real-time Software Engineer
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Salary: $80.00 USD Hourly - $95.00 USD Hourly

About the Role

This role focuses on developing, testing, and integrating real-time embedded software in a multi-core, multi-threaded environment. You will work with C++ on Linux and Windows platforms and take part in all phases of the software development lifecycle-from requirements analysis to formal qualification testing. The position requires hands-on experience with embedded systems and modern C++.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop real-time embedded software in C++ (11 or higher).
• Perform software integration, debugging, and validation.
• Work in multi-core and multi-threaded environments.
• Contribute to requirements analysis, design, coding, and qualification testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop software for Linux-based environments such as CentOS or Rocky.
• Support continuous integration and automated testing pipelines.
• Utilize version control tools and follow structured development processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
• Document designs, test results, and technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Real-time embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ (version 11 or higher).
• Experience with Linux operating systems (CentOS, Rocky 8, or similar).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Multi-threading and multiprocessing development.
• Experience with Git Lab CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Google Test or similar unit testing tools.
• Knowledge of DDS (Data Distribution Services) or CORBA.
• Experience with CMake.
• Exposure to Cameo Modeler.
• Experience with Windows-based software development.
• Background collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
