Sr Software Engineer​/Embedded HWIL​/C++​/Dallas, TX

Job Description

You will be the Software Engineer Sr for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team, responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries.

• Develop embedded software in C/C++ (version 11 or higher).
• Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems.
• Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

• Active DoD SECRET Clearance with investigation within the last 5 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Previous HWIL experience working with real-time embedded systems using both hardware and software.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher for C++).
• Proficiency in Linux systems and real-time operating environments.
• Experience integrating hardware and software.
• Hands‑on experience in real-time software generation, hardware testing, embedded systems, or simulation systems.
• Experience with low‑level software development/device drivers (desired).
• Experience working in cross‑disciplinary/cross‑functional teams (desired).
• Full software development life cycle experience (desired).
• Experience with Git, Git Lab, JIRA, Agile (scrum), VxWorks, and automated testing frameworks (desired).
• MS or higher in a related field (desired).

This position is onsite in Dallas, TX.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN with a Final Secret Security Clearance.
