Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, C++ Developer
You will be the Software Engineer Staff for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries.
Location:
Grand Prairie, TX.
- Develop Embedded Software in C/C++ (version 11 or higher)
- Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Must have Active DoD SECRET Clearance with investigation in the last 5 years
- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field
- The candidate must have previous HWIL experience working with real time embedded systems using both HW/SW
- Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher for C++)
- Proficiency in Linux systems and Real-Time Operating Environment
- Experience integrating hardware and software
- Experience in real-time software generation, with hands‑on experience related to hardware testing and/or embedded systems and/or a simulation systems
- Ability to physically come on site in Dallas and work in labs to support integration
- Experience with low level software development /device drivers
- Experience working in cross-discipline/cross-functional teams
- MS or greater in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field
- Full software development life cycle experience
- Git, Gitlab, JIRA
- VxWorks experience
- Agile experience (scrum)
- Experience integrating closed loop systems
- Experience with automated testing frameworks as well as unit testing
