Software Engineer​/Embedded, Grand Prairie, TX

Description

You will be the Software Engineer Staff for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team designs, develops, and manufactures precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries.

• Integrate features and algorithms into C++ applications.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that solves logical and mathematical problems for mission-critical applications.
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware, software, and systems engineering to develop solutions.
• Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Active Final Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience in real‑time embedded software development.
• Proficiency with C++ (version 11 or higher).
• Experience with Linux operating systems (CentOS, Rocky 8, or similar).
• Desired skills:
  Agile development (Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer), multithreading/multiprocessing development, Git Lab CI/CD pipelines, Google Test or similar unit testing tools, DDS (Data Distribution Services) by RTI, CORBA, C‑Make, Cameo Modeler, Windows OS, and collaboration with multi‑disciplined teams.
