Job Summary:

Supports the Shipping/Receiving Department by managing incoming and outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, preparing paperwork, and tracking inventory to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Key duties involve operating warehouse equipment, inspecting goods, updating shipping statuses, and coordinating with logistics teams and carriers. This role requires a high school diploma, computer proficiency, strong organizational skills, and physical stamina to handle goods.

Applies lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields. Investigates root cause of failures/defects and implements corrective actions to support continuous improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Package and label all outgoing shipments according to company standards

• Ensure that all shipping documents are accurate and complete

• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries

• Track and monitor all shipments to ensure timely delivery

• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and delivery updates

• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area

• Assist with inventory management as needed

Work Experience, Education, and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Basic computer skills, including experience with shipping software and Microsoft Office

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of standing for extending periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Work environment in various settings, including offices, warehouses, and stockrooms.
• The work can be physically demanding, involving walking, lifting, and bending.

The pay range for this role is:

$18.00 to $24.00 per hour
