Job Overview
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role supports warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping of materials, and ensures accurate inventory control and documentation.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of tasks in support of warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking and shipping of material.
- Display knowledge of warehouse and inventory control procedures.
- Prepare or complete all required forms, records and documents to ensure accountability for all transactions required to maintain the integrity of warehouse operations.
- Operate warehouse material handling equipment including forklift and cherry picker.
- Assist in rotor blade repair tasks, such as cleaning, dis‑assembly, sanding, application of filler material, painting, and moving rotor blades within the facility.
- Participate in company training activities.
- High school education or equivalent; no preferred education.
- Minimum 3 years related warehouse experience; prior SAP experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
- Good customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computer usage; SAP experience preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States and not a sponsor of visas for U.S. positions unless specified.
- Vision: able to see and read computer screens and documents.
- Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person or via teleconference.
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings.
- Equipment operation: able to operate personal computer, telephone, fax machine and related equipment.
- Material handling: able to operate forklift and cherry picker.
- Carrying and lifting: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs (23kg); able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push and pull carts and small items up to 50lbs.
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings or while working on the computer.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces most of the time.
- Personal Protective Equipment: safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and protective gloves as required by site.
