SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to manage and maintain accurate inventory within our Grand Prairie distribution center. This role is critical in ensuring availability and accuracy of structural fasteners and metal building components used in time-sensitive construction and fabrication projects.
Candidate must also possess the ability to provide detailed record keeping, analyzing data/information, having the ability to work independently or in a team environment, public speaking, critical thinking, and using good judgment in decision making, inclusive of progressive thinking and ability to foresee challenges.
Essential Functions/Duties- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS/inventory management systems
- Monitor stock levels, min/max thresholds, proactive inventory processes to prevent lost inventory
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories
- Investigate, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock and prevent excess inventory growth
- Ensure proper bin locations, labeling, and organization of all inventory items
- Support receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and QC operations
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy, usage trends, and stock levels, pulling accuracy
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Experience with WMS and inventory systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment with heavy materials
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must possess an active, unexpired driver’s license and a clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
This is a physically active role including walking within the warehouse throughout the day. Position also requires bending, stooping, squatting or standing as necessary. Cognitive abilities required include deductive reasoning, information ordering, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension, and written expression.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- 2+ years of inventory control experience in industrial supply, fastener distribution, or similar warehousing environment.
- 2+ years of executing inventory audits, both intracompany and 3 rd party
- 2+ years of managing multiple employees
Education and Experience
- B.S. degree is preferred but a combination of higher education and experience will be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree
- Bilingual English/Spanish language skills is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems and operations software tools.
