Shipping​/ Receiving

The Shipping/Receiving position is responsible for the efficient operations of shipping logistics for the Branch.

• Creating Bill of Lading (BOLs) and ensuring they are done correctly.
• Ensuring on-time shipments and that all shipments arrive at their proper destinations.
• Handling all customer complaints and ensuring they are satisfied with our service.
• Shipping all material leaving the Branch in the most cost-effective manner and in a timely fashion.
• Locating and tracking all lost material and redirecting it to its proper destination.
• Processing direct shipments (Drop Ships) directly to customers.
• Managing and dealing with all carrier issues.
• Ensuring daily reports are clear.
• Placing transfers in shipped status so branches can receive all delivered material into their inventory.
• Speaking with customers in the proper manner.
• Loading and unloading all trucks.
• Performing driver duties when required.
• Maintaining inventory levels in the warehouse.
• Assisting with other responsibilities as assigned.
• Communicating with employees and supervisors.
• Understanding that overtime may be required when necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over 2 years of warehouse shipping lead experience with leading teams and setting goals.
• Understanding of basic computer flow transactions.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining an accurate and efficient warehouse operation.
• Maintain inventory and service levels to meet all customer requirements.
• Perform customer deliveries when necessary and maintain a clean driving record.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Ability to initiate and adapt to change, and work in a team environment.
• Computer skills (MS Office – Excel & Word) and SAP Inventory/Warehouse.
