Job Description

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Production Control Coordinator to join the Production Planning & Operations team based in Grand Prairie, TX. In this role you will support DCR (Dynamic Component Repair) shops to expedite materials logistics and planning functions.

Your Challenges Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate movement of material (60%):
    • Distribute inbound parts from DFW warehouse to carts or totes.
    • Return material to DFW warehouse.
    • Transport assets to shipping area for outbound to DFW warehouse.
    • Enforce designated product areas: planning space, inbound/outbound shipping, kitting.
    • Handle discrepancies with received parts from DFW warehouse.
    • Process incoming sub‑contracts/processing – return to stock or production.
    • Process outbound sub‑contracts – final preparation, boxing, sealing, transport to shipping area.
  • Coordinate return to customer of completed components (30%):
    • Ensure outbound shipping is properly packaged per instructions.
    • Complete documentation for shipment of finished goods to end customers or AHI stocks.
    • Complete all SAP transactions required to make the part ready for return.
  • Maintain inventories (10%):
    • Maintain inventory of materials according to shop needs.
    • Ensure shelf life and FIFO policies are maintained.
    • Serve as focal point for invoicing and goods receipt communication.
  • Additional support: strain gauge shipment preparation and other duties as assigned.
Your Boarding Pass
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year related experience in material control.
  • 5% domestic and international travel.
  • Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or covered under existing ITAR license).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and attention to detail.
  • Familiar with general office procedures and PC skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Preferred:
    Lean practices knowledge.
  • Preferred:
    Aviation knowledge.
  • Preferred: SAP experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Onsite proximity: 95% onsite.
  • Vision: read screens, documents, reports, engineering drawings daily.
  • Hearing: participate in conversations in person and via teleconference, hear sounds on the production floor daily.
  • Speaking: speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information daily.
  • Equipment operation: use office equipment and production tools such as hydraulic lifts daily.
  • Carrying: carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs daily.
  • Lifting: lift documents and tools up to 30lbs/14kgs daily and heavier parts/equipment on a frequent basis.
  • Pushing/Pulling: push and pull small office furniture and tools frequently.
  • Sitting: sit for long periods during meetings and computer work daily.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelving occasionally.
  • Standing: stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor daily, frequently for long periods.
  • Travel: travel independently and at short notice between Grand Prairie and DFW warehouse location.
  • Walking: routine walking through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces, frequently.
  • Personal protective equipment required:
    Safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or gloves per site/customer requirements.
  • Administrative positions only: steel‑toed shoes required for all shop floor visits, hearing/eye protection may also be required.
