The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will play a crucial role in managing the entire spectrum of warehouse operations and logistics processes at our Siemens Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment Manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. This role encompasses the full lifecycle of material management—from the receipt and storage of raw materials and incoming components to their distribution throughout the plant for production, and ultimately, the shipment of completed equipment to customers.

The successful candidate will ensure that all warehouse activities, internal material flows, and outbound logistics are executed safely, efficiently and accurately, while optimizing material handling processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives improving the overall productivity and success of the facility.

You will make an impact by:
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
  • Ensure that all warehouse and logistics operations adhere to Siemens' safety standards and local regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety inspections, training staff, and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Manage environmental compliance related to material handling, storage, and transportation activities.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Manage the warehouse and logistics organization, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute to the team's success.
  • Develop clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for all team members, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for training and development.
Warehouse Operations Management:
  • Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient handling of materials and products, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize space utilization, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
Internal Logistics and Material Handling:
  • Manage the internal flow of materials from the warehouse to various production areas, including raw materials, internal fabrication, and assembly processes.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, minimizing downtime and production delays.
Transportation and Shipment Coordination:
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of incoming and outgoing shipments, including domestic and international transportation.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, including import/export requirements and customs documentation.
  • Work closely with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth cross-border transactions.
