Controller, Accounting, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

Overview

Location: Caledonia, MI

Pay: $80,000 – $95,000

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

Work Environment: Fully onsite

Accounts Receivable

• Reconcile accounts in Quick Books
• Receive and process invoices and cash
• Monitor and follow up on past-due receivables

Accounts Payable

• Manage weekly check runs
• Ensure bank accounts reconcile accurately
• Monitor cash flow and maintain visibility into company cash position

Payroll

• Process biweekly payroll (hourly and salary)
• Utilize ADP (semi-automated system)
• Enter timeclock hours into portal
• Input vacation time, overtime, and adjustments (ADP processes calculations)

Additional HR Support

• Manage vacation requests
• Coordinate with insurance providers and assist with benefits administration
• Support general HR-related needs (shared support with leadership)

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience working in a small business environment (not strictly large corporate setting)
• Prior experience functioning as a one-person accounting department at some point in career
• Comfortable handling the full accounting cycle independently
• Positive, approachable attitude with ability to work across a diverse workforce

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or graduate degree

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5–7 years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 7–10 years of experience
