A large and growing multi-location organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist / Analyst to join its accounting team in Grand Rapids. This company operates across multiple states and offers a stable, team-oriented environment. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys problem-solving, account analysis, and supporting high-volume AP operations in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable handling complex reconciliations and vendor issues.

• Perform complex vendor account reconciliations and statement analysis
• Investigate payment discrepancies, aging variances, and reconciliation issues
• Research and resolve uncleared checks, unapplied cash, credits, and vendor balance discrepancies
• Support account cleanup initiatives and process improvement efforts
• Assist with ACH payment processing and AP transaction review
• Help coordinate property tax bill review, posting, and payment tracking
• Provide transactional AP support, including bill entry and vendor communication
• Partner with internal departments to support daily accounting operations and payment workflows

• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience
• Strong reconciliation and analytical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with complex vendor statement reconciliations
• ACH/payment processing experience
• Advanced Excel skills

• Property tax and/or utility invoice experience
• Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) experience
