Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and integrity of our organization by managing a wide range of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, proficiency with financial software, and a passion for accuracy and compliance. As an integral part of our team, you will ensure that financial records are precise, timely, and aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as Sage.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial data.
- Record journal entries accurately, including debits & credits, ensuring proper double entry bookkeeping practices.
- Conduct month end and year end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
- Assist with payroll management ensuring timely processing and compliance with tax regulations.
- Support internal controls by adhering compliance measures and participating in audits.
- Utilize Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling to support decision making processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of accounting transactions and support audit preparations with clear records.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency with accounting software systems like Sage
- Familiarity with financial software and payroll systems.
- Strong numeracy skills combined with excellent data entry accuracy
- Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Experience in public accounting or working within complex financial environments is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills paired with the ability to interpret financial data for reporting purposes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced setting.
