Duties
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and journal entries using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or Ulti Pro.
  • Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll and benefits administration.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of general ledger accounts, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures.
  • Collaborate with HRIS teams to maintain accurate employee records within HR systems like People Soft or Kronos, ensuring seamless integration with payroll data.
  • Prepare detailed reports on payroll expenses, tax filings, and labor law compliance for internal review and external audits.
  • Support benefits administration processes by managing deductions, contributions, and related financial transactions within payroll systems.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while maintaining data integrity across multiple financial software platforms.
Skills
  • Extensive experience working with payroll systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, Ulti Pro, or Ceridian.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor law compliance, payroll tax regulations, and financial concepts relevant to payroll management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including Quick Books or similar financial tools; solid understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entries.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data accurately using spreadsheets; excellent account reconciliation skills.
  • Familiarity with time & attendance systems and HRIS platforms to ensure precise payroll processing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in data entry tasks such as 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping; ability to handle confidential information securely.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
