- Data entry and posting:
Recording financial transactions into the general ledger by posting journal entries for revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity. - Account reconciliation:
Verifying the accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and all Balance Sheet balances. - Month-end closing:
Performing necessary accounting procedures to finalize financial records at the end of each month. - Process Definitions and Improvements:
Digging into current processes to determine more efficient ways to do business. Writing or editing Standard Operating Procedures. - Auditing support:
Providing documentation and assistance to external auditors during financial audits. - Analysis and reporting:
Analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management. - Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of General Accounting experience
- Dependable individual with excellent attendance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Acumatica, Power BI, Excel)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
