Accounting Assistant 8; Pontiac Lake Recreation Area)

To provide accounting and office functions for Pontiac Lake Recreation Area and Dodge #4 State Park. Responsible for all duties relating to small project accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial and budget reports/reconciliation, Human Resources duties, public relations and general office operations. In addition, the position assists with staff training, and support to the Unit Supervisor for day-to-day operations.

• The position will require travel to Dodge #4 State Park at least two days a week to help support their staff and operations.

• Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

• Three years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to an Accounting Assistant E7, involving posting financial data to ledgers, preparing invoices, billings and/or vouchers, reviewing and coding financial information, and maintaining account balances.

• Certain positions may require a criminal history background check.
