Part Time Administrative Assistant

Classification: Part time – mornings/afternoons up to 20hr/wk, Non-Exempt, competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.

About the Position
:
The Administrative Assistant’s primary responsibility is to support the Finance and Operation Managers. The ideal candidate will bring both experience in an office setting and a servant-oriented heart, understanding that maintaining a warm and welcoming environment serves the greater purpose of enabling ministry and supporting our community of faith.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record keeping
  • Database management
  • Background checks
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Sending quarterly giving statements
  • Sending acknowledgement letters to donors
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies
  • Updating attendance & sign up sheets for church services and events
  • Assist in planning luncheons, events, and New Member Orientations
  • Printing music, cards, and directories as needed
  • Filing
  • Maintaining first aid kits
  • Answering phones
  • New visitor welcome letters & emails
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Prior office experience is preferred, but will train the right candidate.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with Google Drive
  • Ability to learn new databases
  • Able to multi-task in a busy office environment
  • Customer service experience preferred, both in person and over the phone
