Shift and Status:
Full time, 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., variable days and every other weekend.

Location:

Butterworth Hospital, 100 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids.

Job Summary

Directs and maintains accountability for complex, multi-faceted programs. Provides administrative support through the use of software and other tools. Exhibits initiative and knowledge to ensure operations carry on in management’s absence.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize appropriate software applications to maximize office workload efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Greet and communicate with care and respect, following confidentiality policies.
  • Answer telephone, take messages, welcome visitors, and provide conversational information consistent with hospitality standards.
  • Compose, format, type, and proofread documents, including correspondence, memos, reports, charts, statistics, meeting minutes, newsletters, etc.
  • Perform and coordinate basic office duties such as sorting/distributing mail, copying, filing, faxing, completing forms, and ordering/maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain staff, room, and equipment schedules and daily calendars; make independent judgments regarding priorities and rescheduling.
  • Arrange conferences, travel, and meetings as needed.
  • Collect, compile, and prepare data for analysis; develop systems for tracking data.
  • Manipulate data to create custom reports for special requests and examine reports/data for accuracy.
  • Direct and maintain accountability for completion of complex, multi-faceted programs and projects.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and risk mitigation measures; complete all position and unit safety competencies and requirements on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient computer skills.
