As the Cardiovascular and Radiology Sourcing Specialist, you'll serve as a key connector between clinical teams, suppliers, and operational stakeholders-shaping the future of how Corewell Health sources critical products and services in two highly specialized, fast evolving service lines. Acts as the key contact and subject matter expert for all strategic supplier management activities. Identifies, develops, and manages a preferred supply base that aligns with Corewell Health strategies and goals. Provides supply chain vision, decision making and execution support to assigned service line, product, or support area. Develops strong supplier relationships, ensuring effective internal and external communications and timely resolution of open items.
Will
-interacts with physicians, clinicians and pharmacy leadership to support the Corewell Health drug formulary and savings initiatives.
- Develop and manage sourcing strategies that support Cardiovascular and Radiology service line objectives and align with Corewell Health's overall goals.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with clinical, operational, and support teams to jointly develop strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Deliver positive financial outcomes by managing total costs and identifying sustainable longterm savings opportunities.
- Lead the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs) and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs from development through negotiation and final contracting for assigned cardiovascular and radiology products, equipment, and services.
- Oversee strategic contracts, including conducting review meetings, tracking performance and milestones, and communicating progress with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement efforts to advance sourcing processes, supplier performance, and contract accuracy-especially in high impact clinical areas.
- Address supplier issues related to pricing, quality, service, or connectivity to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Administer commercial and financial supplier arrangements, including billing, invoicing, and performance or penalty adjustments.
- Promote a customer focused, service oriented approach that strengthens cross organizational relationships with clinical and operational partners.
- Serve as a role model for customer service excellence and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain supplier risk mitigation plans to support business continuity, patient safety, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and pharmacy leadership as needed to support formulary alignment, product evaluations, and savings initiatives.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Supply Management, Business, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of Supply Management experience with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development
- 2 years of relevant knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration
- 2 years of relevant knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base
- 2 years of experience in continuous improvement methodologies & cost reduction methodologies
- 2 years of relevant experience operating in a highly regulated industry. Medical Device industry sourcing and supplier management
