The Role

The Business Development Coordinator is an early-career, high-impact role designed to build a strong foundation in both New Business Development and Account Management through a structured rotational program.

This role supports sales and account teams across the full lifecycle of a client—from initial conversations and proposals to project handoffs and ongoing account growth. Over time, the position is intended to grow into a Business Development Manager or Account Manager
, depending on strengths and interests.

What You’ll Do

Rotational Experience (Core Focus Areas)

You’ll rotate between New Business Development and Account Management to gain a well-rounded understanding of Freshwater’s clients, solutions, and sales process.

New Business Development Support

  • Support sales efforts by preparing presentations, proposals, and Scope of Work (SOW) documents
  • Gather and organize project details including materials, dimensions, labor estimates, shipping, and technical requirements
  • Assist with RFPs, RFIs, and inbound business inquiries
  • Participate in sales calls from a support and learning perspective
  • Help ensure proposed solutions align with client needs and internal capabilities

Account Management Support

  • Assist account teams with ongoing client needs, expansions, and renewals
  • Coordinate internally with Project Management, Creative, Development, and IT teams to ensure smooth project handoffs
  • Support projects from ideation through completion by helping track details, timelines, and deliverables
  • Build familiarity with client accounts, priorities, and long-term opportunities

Cross-Functional & Growth Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions are scoped correctly and delivered effectively
  • Develop detailed SOWs for custom digital signage solutions
  • Help collect and organize completed project assets for marketing and case studies
  • Continuously improve internal processes, documentation, and sales support materials

This role reports to the Business Development Manager and Director of Accounts, while working closely with all departments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.)
  • Comfort building relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • 1-2 Years of sales or account management experience

  • Exposure to sales, account management, or client-facing roles
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting as the role evolves
