This RoleWe are seeking a VP of Supply Chain
. This full‑time, hybrid role will be based in Grand Rapids, MI;
Detroit, MI; or Huntsville, AL and will report directly to our Chief Operating Officer. The role requires approximately 25 % travel, primarily domestic with some international.
The Vice President of Supply Chain will develop and lead the end‑to‑end supply‑chain strategy to deliver measurable improvements across SIOP, Procurement, Materials Management, and Inventory Control, ensuring operational excellence for the business both globally and regionally.
The VP will enable business growth by delivering benchmark service levels, optimal inventory management, supplier quality, cost optimization, supply‑chain risk mitigation, and the ability to scale while upholding corporate values and regulatory requirements.
This executive will focus on strengthening the organization’s supply‑chain performance through data‑driven processes, cross‑functional alignment, and continuous improvement.
How You Will Do It- Analyze and assess Duravent’s current supply‑chain function and ecosystem.
- Translate the SIOP and global and regional supply‑chain management strategy into actionable process improvement initiatives.
- Create an entrepreneurial work environment that fosters innovation and continuous improvement.
- Refine supply‑chain KPIs and use analytics to support decisions, enable growth, and measure performance.
- Build and lead a high‑performance team, including recruiting, mentoring, and motivating strong leaders.
- Lead and improve Material/Inventory Management best practices, including PFEP, Make‑vs‑Buy, ABC Analysis, and advanced replenishment methods.
- Generate annual cost‑reduction improvements through sourcing, price, cost engineering, SKU analysis, and procurement best practices.
- Develop supplier relationships based on strategy and collaborate on innovation opportunities and key negotiations.
- Develop crisis‑management and supplier backup contingency programs, and maintain a balanced scorecard for supplier evaluation.
- Strengthen relationships with functional counterparts and business stakeholders at regional and global levels to foster transparent communication and best‑practice implementation.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Below are the representative qualifications.
Required Qualifications- Current/valid U.S. work authorization without requiring future sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with 5 years at Senior Manager or Director level in strategic sourcing, progressive procurement, material management, and SIOP management in a medium‑to‑large manufacturing environment.
- Oversight of multiple departments.
- Strong ERP skills (SAP and/or Oracle preferred).
- Experience in the HVAC, automobile, or sheet‑metal fabrication industry.
- Experience managing a minimum of $150 M of raw‑material spending.
- Master’s degree preferred; MBA is a plus.
