Heavy Civil Construction Supervisor
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Heavy Civil Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage field operations on heavy civil projects. If you are passionate about working in a dynamic environment and have a solid background in supervising teams involved in grading, excavation, underground utilities, and concrete or roadway work, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate field crews to ensure that work is conducted safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Plan daily activities, assign labor and equipment, and ensure compliance with schedules.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain effective communication with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors.
- Monitor quality control and enforce safety standards at the job site.
- Track materials, equipment usage, and prepare daily progress reports.
- Identify and troubleshoot field issues, providing practical and cost-effective solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction
, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. - In-depth knowledge of earthwork, grading, utilities, and/or concrete structures.
- Ability to lead and motivate field teams while maximizing productivity and morale.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and job costing.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
