Position Overview
Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), an affiliate of Plante & Moran, PLLC (PM), provides fully integrated Program Management/Owners Representation and Real Estate Services exclusively to corporations and institutional organizations. We are seeking an experienced senior project manager to oversee large‑scale or multiple programs of varying scope and scale.
Key Responsibilities- Provide program leadership working with existing clients.
- Oversee multiple vendors and client stakeholders required to design and construct the program.
- Procure vendors (A/E, Constructor, etc.) and ensure project budget and schedule adherence.
- Advise on program risk and risk mitigation strategies.
- Recommend best practices and industry standards for contracting, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Resolve issues that align with project objectives.
- Coordinate and communicate with all levels of client management and support staff.
- Participate in meetings with the Client, Architect, Constructors, and other professional service firms.
- Prepare and present project updates to clients.
- Ensure internal team implementation and compliance with P&M and PMR policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage junior staff as needed.
- Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management degree from an accredited institution.
- 15–20 years of building, design, and construction experience in project management, construction administration, or field management.
- Experience with Owner’s Facility Teams or as a consultant preferred.
- Large‑scale commercial/institutional construction experience and knowledge of construction best practices.
- Understanding of design process that drives scope and budget development.
- Construction cost estimating experience desirable.
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or estimating experience desirable.
- Experience with vertical construction, high‑density or high‑profile projects desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and/or Primavera Scheduling Software; familiarity with BIM.
Qualified individuals must reside in or near the Grand Rapids area or be willing to relocate. Frequent travel throughout the region is required, with approximately 15% overnight travel.
Work HoursThis is an exempt position; overtime beyond the standard 40‑hour work week may be necessary.
Compensation and Benefits- Salary range: $120,000–$140,000 (dependent on region: CO, IL, OH, MA).
