We’re representing a respected Michigan‑based construction company known for quality building solutions delivered through integrity, value, and craftsmanship, with a strong focus on projects that positively impact the communities they serve.

This group is focused on projects that are highly visible in the community — sports and recreation, municipal, nonprofit, and education‑related builds — so your work is something you’ll actually see and impact locally. It’s not production‑driven, repeat industrial work; it’s diverse, relationship‑driven projects that require strong client interaction and adaptability.

The team runs lean by design, meaning you won’t be buried under layers of PMs or support staff. You’ll be expected to own projects, make decisions, and manage all scopes — which is a big draw for PMs who want real responsibility instead of being siloed into one piece of a job.

There’s also an emphasis on long‑term client relationships and repeat work, so personality matters. If you’re someone who can build trust, represent the company well, and potentially contribute to bringing in work over time, you’ll stand out quickly. It’s a strong fit for someone who wants to grow into a more visible, client‑facing PM role rather than stay behind the scenes.

This person needs to be able to fully own construction projects from start to finish without heavy oversight. The work in this group centers on sports and recreation, municipal, non‑profit, office, and select education‑related projects, and specifically does not target industrial, multi‑family, or heavy residential backgrounds. Typical project size is roughly $5 M–$20 M, with acceptable experience ranging from about $1 M–$40 M, and projects often run from about 6 months to 1.5 years.

The team wants someone who can run roughly $10 M projects from start to finish, manage all scopes rather than a narrow trade slice, and operate well in a lean PM model. Candidates with 4+ years of construction PM, APM, or PE experience can be considered, especially if they’ve worked for a General Contractor and are ready to step fully into a PM seat.

Repeat‑client work, networking/business development capability, healthcare or higher‑ed exposure, and community involvement are all helpful adds.

Desired technical skill areas include Procore, scheduling, cost control, subcontractor buyout/management, construction documents, safety leadership, Bluebeam, and Excel. The strongest behavioral fit is someone urgent, accountable, adaptable, detail‑oriented, independent, and client‑facing.
