We’re hiring for our client, a nationally recognized high-end residential interior design firm celebrated for its artistry, craftsmanship, and client-centered approach. Rooted in collaboration and creativity, this studio designs soulful, story-driven homes that beautifully balance function, emotion, and timeless design.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead luxury residential projects from concept through installation. You’ll shape design direction, nurture client relationships, and guide a junior designer—all while bringing elevated ideas to life with precision and purpose.

About the Role: As the Senior Interior Designer, you’ll serve as both creative visionary and technical lead. You’ll conceptualize and present distinctive design solutions, manage complex project details, and ensure that every element—from drawings to finishes—embodies the studio’s refined aesthetic and commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities

Creative & Conceptual

• Develop inspired, story-driven design concepts that reflect each client’s lifestyle and the firm’s signature aesthetic.
• Lead conceptual presentations with clarity, confidence, and emotional connection.
• Create detailed mood boards, sketches, space plans, and 3D visualizations (Sketch Up + Enscape).
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and design resources efficiently.

Technical & Executional

• Produce and oversee detailed construction and millwork drawings in AutoCAD, including elevations, lighting plans, and cabinetry details.
• Specify and document all interior selections—FF&E, lighting, hardware, and finishes—with exceptional accuracy.
• Collaborate with builders, trades, and consultants to ensure flawless execution of design intent.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits to uphold design integrity throughout construction.
• Utilize Asana, Studio Designer, and Microsoft Office to manage communication and deliverables.
• Lead and mentor a Junior Designer, guiding technical, creative, and professional growth.
• Represent the firm in client and site meetings with professionalism and warmth.
• Foster a collaborative studio culture that reflects creativity, accountability, and shared success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in high-end residential design with a strong design and technical portfolio.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and a deep understanding of the interior construction process.
• Strong communication and presentation skills—you convey ideas with clarity and passion.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Emotionally intelligent, team-oriented, and highly client-focused.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Asana, and Slack.
• Seeking a long-term opportunity to grow and lead within a collaborative, forward-thinking firm.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings as required (typically 1–2 nights per trip).
• Occasional extended travel depending on project location - all travel is coordinated and covered by the firm.
