Job Description & How to Apply Below
Responsibilities/skills:
- In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and field partners across multiple locations to design and produce accurate 2D CAD layouts supporting remodel and construction projects throughout the footprint.
- You will translate established design criteria into scalable layouts that can be adapted to locations of varying sizes, configurations, and constraints.
- You will design and create 2D layouts for customer-facing areas, back-of-house team member spaces, and office environments.
- This includes producing detailed, construction-ready drawings with dimensions, item tags, and title blocks used by construction, installation, and remodel teams.
- The role requires evaluating site-specific conditions, investigating layout options, and clearly communicating design intent to ensure consistent execution across the footprint.
- This position collaborates with cross-functional partners including construction, facilities, and external vendors, and focuses exclusively on commercial environments.
- The layouts created in this role will support a specific project being implemented across multiple locations.
- 1+ years of relevant experience designing commercial environments using CAD (office, warehouse, restaurant/kitchen, or similar). Additional experience is a plus.
- Proven experience creating 2D CAD drawings for commercial interiors; residential design experience alone will not be sufficient.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, or similar); ability to learn new platforms as needed.
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes and standards related to commercial design.
- Experience creating production drawings that include dimensions, item tags, and title blocks.
- Ability to apply standardized design criteria across multiple locations with varying dimensions.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and external partners such as construction and installation vendors.
- Working knowledge of 3D design software is a plus, but not required.
