GRCES Preschool Lunch Assistant Teacher

POSITION TITLE

Preschool Lunch Assistant Teacher for 26–27 school year

BUILDINGS:
Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School (GRCES) - Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses

SCHEDULE:

Part-time school-year, hourly position

COORDINATES WITH:
Early Learning Center Administrative Assistant (Evergreen Campus), Preschool Administrative Assistant (Iroquois Campus)

Both the Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses of GRCES are seeking Preschool Lunch Assistant Teachers who will assist teachers and children with lunch, transitions, rest time (at times, recess). The schedule is generally Monday–Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.; however, this position does not require working every day. Applicants must meet licensing requirements and possess a deep commitment to Christian education.

• Provide a safe environment and active supervision for students by following all licensing guidelines
• Carry out routines to assist preschool teachers and children with lunch, transitions, and rest time
• Coordinate with preschool teacher teammates

• At least 16 years of age
• Preferred experience working with young children
• CPR/First Aid Certified, can be completed after employment
• Complete and pass the state-required background check
• Complete required, on-going trainings, if offered the position
• Be able to sit on the floor with children and move around for long periods of time
