SPECIFIC COURSE INFORMATION
:
Davenport University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate Teacher Education courses delivered through our flexible format, which includes an in‑seat component at our Lettinga campus.
Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach one or more of the following courses, including Literacy Methods, Health and Physical Education, Social Studies Methods, STEM Curriculum Design and Methods, and Mathematics Methods.
SUMMARY:
Adjunct Faculty bring practical experience to the classroom and transfer their knowledge to students by establishing and promoting an effective learning environment for students with diverse interests, abilities, needs, and expectations in the area of teacher preparation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding the Davenport University curriculum;
- Preparing instructional course syllabi and materials;
- May provide input and feedback on selected textbooks and instructional resources and electronic materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree in Education or related field.
- A minimum of three (3) current professional years of experience related to assigned teaching discipline.
- Ability to teach one (1) to four (4) hours per class session.
- Enjoy working with the public and be able to relate well with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
