English Learner (El) Interventionist
Under the supervision of the English Learner (EL) Executive Director, the EL Interventionist is responsible for providing targeted academic second language and grade level supports to eligible EL scholars in all core content areas at GRPS.
Required
Education and Experience:
- ESL/Bilingual Spanish endorsement or Masters in TESOL
Preferred:
- Valid Michigan teacher's certificate
- SIOP Training

- Provide and deliver academic support services to eligible EL scholars
- Manage and maintain accurate scholar records
- Visit with identified scholars to identify suitable options and help resolve problems.
- Develop a positive relationship with scholars and school community and maintain constructive relationships with staff, scholars, and administration.
- Interact with co-workers, administration, and scholars in cooperative, supportive, and positive ways.
- Participate in district led EL PD (WIDA/ SIOP).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Consistently demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality
- Perform other duties as assigned
