Job Description:
St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a director to oversee the daily operations of the school's after-school care program and summer care programs. This is a year-round, part-time position working with students K-8th grade. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The director will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences in after-care and summer care that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment.
We are looking for someone who will collaborate with school leadership, staff, and families to create a program that reflects and supports the holistic development of each child. This is a grant-funded position. Schedule School year: (39 weeks) Monday – Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm (start time may be flexible, up to 4:00pm, for candidates who also serve in a teaching role during the school day) Summer: (8 weeks) Starting June 8th Monday – Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm Benefits

-Bachelor's Degree in education, child development, or related field
-Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting
-Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
-Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
-Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting
-Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training
-Commitment to upholding and modeling the values and teachings of the Catholic Church
-CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)
-Must have or willing to take Virtus – Protecting God's Children Training
