Job Overview
The Academy of Music is hiring qualified music teachers for piano, voice, guitar, drums and strings at both their Jenison and Grand Rapids locations.
A college degree in music is NOT required. Performance and teaching experience is helpful. A warm and friendly personality is important.
Music Teacher Responsibilities- Teach weekly private music lessons year round
- Teach 1-2 group music workshops per year
- Prepare students for and attend annual winter and spring recitals
- Prepare recorded lessons or teach live video lessons when students request them
- Great with kids
- Excellent communication skills
- Punctual
- Ability to demonstrate and explain instrument specific proficiencies
- Organized
- Flexible schedule
- Network with other musicians/educators
- Make money doing what you love
- Focus on teaching, not marketing or customer service
- Two locations - Grand Rapids and Jenison
This position is part-time.
Compensation$26-$28 per hour.
Additional RequirementsMust be able to teach in-person.
