GSRP Assistant Teacher

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the Administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

• Must have knowledge of technology and support electronic learning.
• Must be trained or willing to be trained in behavior management techniques such as Safety Care.
• Demonstrates an understanding of a student’s problems.
• Demonstrates initiative and creativity with students and their program.
• Successful experience working with and communicating with students in an educational setting.
• Meet the same physical standards as required by teachers.
• Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

• Must have a High School diploma.
• Must meet GSRP requirements by having one of the following:
  • An associate degree in early childhood education or child development or the equivalent
  • A valid Center-Based Preschool CDA credential
