Noon Supervisor/Office Assistant - Outside Recess and/or Lunchroom

Elementary (PK - 2nd grades)

Building Principal and/or Superintendent of Schools

Assists in day-to-day operations of the school district by providing student and building support services while ensuring a high degree of confidentiality.

• Supervise students in non-instructional settings including, but not limited to, lunchroom and on the playground
• Clearing and washing lunch tables between lunch periods and at the end of of the lunch hour
• Light office duties
• Additional duties as assigned

• Possesses strong interpersonal skills in working with students, school community and staff
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality
• Maintains a high level of personal and professional flexibility
• Experience working with student health needs preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required

Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 50% walking, and 40% standing and significant finger dexterity in order to operate a two-way radio and needs appropriate hearing to understand radio communication and appropriate vocalization to be understood over the two-way radio and/or in person. Operate recreation equipment with dexterity and in a safe and efficient manner. Able to work in an indoor and outdoor work environment subject to varying weather conditions;

walk on uneven surfaces / terrain. Requires bending, crouching and kneeling to assist students; pushing/pulling and lifting of recreation equipment; standing/walking for prolonged periods of time; occasional running and jumping; and reaching in all directions. Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.

Follows the school calendar. Noon Supervisor:
Approximately 1.5 hours/day Lunchroom supervisor - (10:45am - 12:15pm); playground supervisor - (11:15am
-12:30 pm). Additional 45 minutes to cover the main office for the secretary's lunch.
