Infant Teacher – Early Childhood Education
The Learning Experience – Grand Rapids Beltline is seeking a nurturing and dependable Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our Infant Teachers create a warm, responsive environment where babies feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. Through consistent routines, sensory experiences, and meaningful interactions, you'll help our youngest learners reach important developmental milestones.
What You'll Do
- Provide attentive, responsive care for infants throughout the day
- Support feeding, diapering, naps, and individualized daily routines
- Create age-appropriate sensory and early learning experiences
- Encourage early language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
- Observe and support developmental milestones
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom
- Build trusting relationships with children and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous infant, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience preferred
- Experience working specifically with infants is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
- Comfortable with feeding, diapering, and individualized infant routines
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
