Salary: $43,501-$70,516 per collective bargaining agreement
POSTING DATE: July 31, 2026
CRAMER JUNIOR HIGH: 5th Grade Special Education Teacher QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university
- Michigan Teaching Certificate with meet Highly Qualified standards for special education
- The primary job goal for this position is to plan and implement instruction in both co-teacher and self-contained classrooms
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning
- Work with, understand, and implement Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) including a special focus on early interventions
- Work with or understand Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS)
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
- Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings
- Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds
- Serve as a case manager, ensure all IEP processes and documentation are compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, administration, ISD, and families
- Have an unwavering commitment to believing that all students can learn
- Have an unwavering commitment to positively engaging families in the education process
- Coordinates with outside agencies, organizations and institutions, including state and federal authorities as needed
- Special education grade level assignments may change in the future depending on special education needs across the district.
