CONTRACT/STATUS:School year, approx. 20 hours weekly
COORDINATES WITH:Inclusion Aides, Classroom Teachers
POSITION SUMMARYThe Inclusion Aide will support students requiring inclusion services at the high school.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESSupport students receiving inclusion support
Support teachers with accommodations and modifications for students who receive inclusion services
Assist teachers in modifying assignments and assessments
Support students in general education and small group classes
Meet regularly with classroom teachers to identify which learning targets are essential for the students they support and how the students will be assessed on these learning targets
Document the learning targets students are working on for each unit
Collect data on student progress
Support students in study halls
Lead small chapel group
Assist students with organizational skills and study habits
Meet regularly with the Inclusion Coordinator
Participate in district and department-led professional development
REQUIREMENTSMichigan Teaching Certificate preferred but not required
