THE OPPORTUNITY- Position Type: Full-Time
- Start Date: 2026–27 School Year, on or after August 24, 2026
- Salary: Based on experience and placement on the established pay grid
- Benefits: Full benefits package available
- Employment Status: Union, Exempt
- Contract: Negotiated school calendar and in-service hours per the current Master Agreement
- Reports To: Director of Special Education
As a School Psychologist, you will provide professional psychological and educational services that support students, families, and school teams.
Your work will include:
- Conducting psychological and educational assessments
- Evaluating and diagnosing students with disabilities
- Providing consultation to teachers, families, administrators, and other professionals
- Providing psychological counseling and crisis intervention
- Supporting students with learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Developing behavior management strategies for individual students and classrooms
- Interpreting assessment results and observations in meaningful, practical ways
- Participating on diagnostic and IEP teams
- Preparing accurate evaluations, reports, and required documentation
- Providing professional development and in-service training when needed
- Coordinating with agencies and individuals to support student success
- Providing preventive services that promote a positive climate for learning
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in School Psychology
- Meet the requirements established by Special Education Rules
- Valid driver’s license if driving is required for job-related responsibilities
- Communicates effectively with students, families, and school professionals
- Uses assessment and evaluation data to support educational planning
- Works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrates sound professional judgment and compassion
- Maintains and continually develops professional knowledge and skills
- Is dependable and committed to regular, reliable attendance
