Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000
What you’ll doAs a Mechanical Engineer at Belt Power, you’ll play a hands‑on role in turning customer challenges into real‑world solutions. You’ll own projects from concept through application while collaborating with sales, production, and vendors to bring designs off the screen and into operation.
Key Responsibilities- Design creative mechanical solutions as part of a collaborative engineering team
- Own development projects from initial concept through final application
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for customer approvals and internal use
- Partner with inside and outside sales teams to support customer solutions
- Work closely with engineering, production staff, and vendors on development and operations
- Accurately measure, test, and reverse engineer products and solutions
- Establish quality control standards to ensure finished products meet design intent
- Generate part numbers, manuals, and technical documentation for new products
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Represent Belt Power professionally in all interactions
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the team
- Work on real‑world engineering solutions that directly impact customers

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience with 3D modeling and drawing generation using Fusion, Inventor, Solid Works, or Solid Edge
- Ability to interpret drawings and verify precise measurements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
- Proven organization, prioritization, and project management skills
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
The Mechanical Engineer may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
WorkEnvironment
While performing the duties of this position, the Mechanical Engineer will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. This is largely a sedentary role; this would require the ability to lift up to lift up to 50 pounds at times, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position in the office and shop. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional travel, overtime, and weekends may be required.
