Structural BIM Technician

Structural Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structural BIM Technician to join our team in Grand Rapids or Plymouth. This is a full‑time, in‑office position working alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of building projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of modeling and detailing and is looking to build a long‑term career in BIM
. This is not a transitional or entry‑level role—we are seeking someone who wants to grow and stay in the technical design space.

• Develop and detail structural models using Revit and AutoCAD
• Collaborate closely with engineers to bring projects from concept through construction
• Create accurate 3D models and drawings for permitting, fabrication, and erection
• Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure constructability and precision
• Contribute to multiple projects in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience using Revit on building/structural projects
• Hands‑on experience producing models and drawings in a professional work environment
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Positive, team‑oriented mindset
