Schedule: Hybrid; onsite Tuesday–Thursday

Travel: Weekly travel across Michigan required

Operations experience in the Utility industry

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead intermediate to large-scale capital natural gas construction projects across Michigan. In this role, you will manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, procurement, contractor coordination, and compliance, ensuring successful execution from initiation through closeout.

• Lead capital construction projects from planning through completion and closeout
• Define project scope and align engineering, scheduling, and estimating activities
• Oversee engineering, design, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting
• Coordinate contractor procurement, bid evaluation, and supplier selection
• Monitor field construction activities and contractor performance
• Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Conduct regular site visits and maintain accurate project documentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 6+ years of project management experience
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, contractors, and project deliverables
• Ability to travel regularly within Michigan to support field operations

• PMP certification
• Experience in natural gas utility construction or design
• Utility industry experience
• Experience with road right-of-way construction or design
• Background supporting capital infrastructure projects
