We are looking for a full time/direct hire Quality Engineer to work fully onsite at a reputable aviation/aerospace engineering and manufacturing company in Grand Rapids, MI. Offering competitive salary and benefits (benefits highlights listed below)!
ResponsibilitiesQuality Planning & Product Realization
• Develop and maintain product and process quality plans, including control plans, inspection and test strategies, and CTQ identification Incoming & Supplier Quality Assurance Final Acceptance, Test & Product Release Nonconformance, MRB & Containment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quality, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- 4 – 7+ years of experience in product quality or product-facing engineer roles
- Strong experience with after-market product quality activities, inspection, remediation efforts, etc.
- Exposure to electronics assembly, test, box build, or harness manufacturing corrective actions.
- Experience with any of the following products or similar is highly desired:
Bimetal thermostats / thermal protectors, Limit switches / micro-switches, Relays / contractors, Circuit breakers, Hermetic connectors / feedthroughs (glass-to-metal seals), Sensors with mechanical actuation, Motor overload protectors, and/or Environmental or pressure switches - Experience with GD&T Root cause & corrective action
- Experience in a regulated (automotive, aerospace, medical) manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plans, capability analysis).
- Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality processes is a plus
