Overview
  • We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee intermediate to large-scale capital Natural Gas construction projects across Michigan. This individual will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, contractor coordination, procurement activities, risk mitigation, compliance requirements, and project closeout documentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage capital construction projects from initiation through closeout
  • Define project scope and coordinate engineering, scheduling, and estimating activities
  • Oversee engineering, design, installation, testing, commissioning, and project turnover
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, expenditures, and cost controls
  • Coordinate contractor procurement, bid reviews, supplier evaluations, and contracting strategies
  • Support daily field construction activities and contractor performance
  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular site visits and maintain project documentation
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, Business Management, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of Project Management experience
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors, and project deliverables
  • Ability to travel throughout Michigan and support field operations
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification
  • Natural Gas utility construction or design experience
  • Utility industry experience
  • Road right-of-way construction or design experience
  • Experience supporting capital infrastructure projects
Preferred Tools/Systems
  • Primavera P6
  • Microsoft Project
  • SAP
  • Maximo
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
