As our Drafter you will support the engineering, sales & customer service, and operations teams with mechanical design, including creation and maintenance of assemblies, bills of materials, production drawing, and other engineering releases. Create and modify detailed drawings from various input criteria including customer specifications, sales orders, and engineering directives using 2D and 3D CAD software.
This is an entry level position and will be based at our Clinton, PA facility near the PIT airport. Relocation is not being offered for this position.
Your profile consists of the following areas of experience, knowledge, and responsibility:- Organizes product drawing and related document information
- Use of Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
- Utilizes CAD technology and standards, making recommendations to enhance quality.
- Designs precision parts/assemblies accurately to enable Manufacturing to assemble systems with minimal cost and re-work.
- Creates accurate document releases to enable Purchasing and Manufacturing.
- Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure strict adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Generates and maintains Part Numbers, product information, and BOMs in the ERP system.
- This list is not all inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the business.
- Associate's degree in mechanical drafting or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2 years in mechanical drawing and the use of drafting software in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D computer aided design, preferred knowledge with inventor
- Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
- High attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work in a demanding environment and be willing to learn and improve in all skill areas
- Strong people skills with the ability to communicate and develop relationships
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills
